Final Results of Stage 1 – 2025 National Medical & Health Law Essay Competition (Nigeria)

The Medical Law Hub is delighted to announce the conclusion of Stage 1 of the 2025 National Medical & Health Law Essay Competition organised by the Hub and the Institute of Medical and Health Law.

This first round brought together outstanding essays from universities across Nigeria, reflecting deep insight into medical negligence, health law, and bioethical principles. Each submission was evaluated by three independent judges, using a rigorous marking scheme that emphasized originality, legal authority, structure, and relevance to Nigerian health law.

After consolidating scores from all three judges, we are proud to present the Top 5 Universities advancing to the next round:

University of Ilorin

These universities distinguished themselves with exceptional legal research, persuasive arguments, and thoughtful engagement with medico-legal and bioethical issues.
